During the Annual General Meeting on Monday 18th November 2019, Dr Alastair Riddell, Non-Executive Chairman of Feedback plc, announced that he is retiring from his post, to be replaced by Professor Rory Shaw, current Medical Director at Feedback Medical.

Feedback are delighted to welcome Professor Shaw, not only due to his extensive commercial and clinical experience, but also as his time here as Medical Director, a post which he has held since June 2018, means that he has already forged close working relationships with members of the team, contributing significantly to the development of the company’s new strategy and solidifying relationships with the UK medical community.

Previously the Medical Director of Healthcare UK within the Department of International Trade, over the past 15 years Professor Shaw has served as the Medical Director of 3 NHS Trusts: North West London Hospitals NHS Trust, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and the Hammersmith Hospital NHS Trust. In 2001, he was appointed by the then Minister of Health as the first Chairman of the National Patient Safety Agency and was also a non-executive director of the NHS Litigation Authority. Specialising is respiratory and general medicine; Professor Shaw has also published extensively in academic journals and was a professor of respiratory medicine at Imperial College School of Medicine.

Feedback are delighted to welcome Professor Shaw to his new post and believe that he has the drive and enthusiasm to push the company into new and exciting territory.

Dr Alastair Riddell, Chairman of Feedback, made the following statement:

“I am honoured to have been Chairman of Feedback for the last three years. The business has evolved to realise the potential of its proprietary technology and its sophisticated cutting-edge tools are aimed directly at helping clinicians and patients in the NHS and beyond. The time has come to hand over the reins as Non-Executive Chairman to Professor Rory Shaw who brings valuable clinical and commercial experience to the role and I believe will guide the Company through its next stage of growth. Tom Oakley’s appointment as CEO has energised Feedback and with the exciting launch of Bleepa, I feel confident that Feedback has a bright future and I am proud to have been a part of building this business.”
