The Feedback team brings together a wealth of knowledge and expertise from medical and specialist IT healthcare backgrounds.

We have professional experience from real-life medical and scientific research environments. Having previously worked in close cooperation with researchers, radiologists and IT specialists, we believe our unique skills ensure confidence in our imaging technologies and provide relevance in today’s medical world. Key personnel of the Feedback team include Dr Alastair Riddell, Feedback plc’s Chairman, Professor Rory Shaw, our Medical Director, Dr Balaji Ganeshan, one of the founders of TexRAD, Mike Hayball and Dr Stephen Brown, the creators of Cadran.

Dr Alastair Riddell

Dr Alastair Riddell

Chairman

Dr Riddell has over 30 years experience in healthcare, with 18 years as a main board director. After 10 years directing phases 1-4 clinical trials for companies including Lederle (now Pfizer) and Centocor (now J&J), he spent five years managing sales and marketing for oncology and imaging products for Amersham International (now GE Healthcare). This led to 12 years as CEO for three UK biotech companies, Pharmagene, Paradigm Therapeutics and Stem Cell Sciences. In these roles he completed a successful IPO on the LSE’s main market and two trade sales.

Lindsay Melvin

Chief Financial Officer

Lindsay is a chartered accountant and brings 30 years of financial and business experience. Most recently he was Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) for eight years until July 2016. CIPP was voted the UK’s best association in the 2016 Associations Excellence Awards and was also voted as one of the Sunday Times ‘Best 100 Not for Profit Organisations’ in 2016. Lindsay was Finance Director for Arthur Shaw & Co plc for six years. Lindsay started his career at Grant Thornton where he spent 11 years.

Professor Tim Irish

Tim has worked in the life sciences industry for 30 years. His career has spanned global health technology companies across Europe and North America, including GSK, GE and Philips - the latter two in senior positions responsible for medical imaging. Tim is a Professor of Practice at Kings College London and a board member of Bournemouth University. Tim joined the board of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in April 2015 and became the Senior Independent Director in May 2017. Tim currently holds a number of non-executive positions in health and technology related entities.

Simon Sturge

Simon Sturge

Non-Executive Director

Simon is an experienced healthcare executive in the UK and has built a very strong reputation, not only in the biotechnology industry but also in the investment community. He joined Merck Healthcare in 2014 and is currently Chief Operating Officer and member of their Healthcare Executive Committee. His experience includes eight years at Celltech, and he was the founder and CEO of RiboTargets (which later reversed into Vernalis Plc). After serving as CEO of OctoPlus N.V. for two years, he became Senior Vice President of Boehringer Ingelheim's Biopharmaceutical Business.

Mike Hayball

Mike Hayball

Technical Director

Mike is Technical Director for Feedback Medical and has been key in developing the Cadran and TexRAD platforms. He started his career as a medical physicist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he took his MSc in Radiation Physics. From there he worked on cardiac imaging at Papworth Hospital before forming Cambridge Computed Imaging Ltd (currently Feedback Medical Ltd) in 2001. Mike has an established track record bringing novel imaging techniques to the market, collaborating with Kodak, GE and Siemens.

Professor Rory Shaw

Medical Director

Professor Shaw is a highly experienced NHS executive and joins us as Medical Director. In November 2013, he was appointed as Medical Director of Healthcare UK, part of the Department of International Trade. Prior to this, he was a medical director in the NHS for over 15 years, including positions at three major NHS trusts around London. Professor Shaw has also held national roles as non-executive of the NHS Litigation Authority and previously as the first Chairman of the National Patient Safety Agency. Professor Shaw is a consultant respiratory physician and is a named author on over 140 scientific publications.

Dr Balaji Ganeshan

Global Business Development Director

Dr Ganeshan was instrumental in the original invention, research and development of TexRAD, and has been working with the software for over 10 years. He is now the Global Business Development Director at Feedback Medical and is the main scientific advisor. Dr Ganeshan also holds the position of Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine at University College London. He is responsible for developing new business opportunities worldwide.

Dr Stephen Brown

Regulatory Director

Dr Brown completed his Solid State Physics PhD at the University of Cambridge, and then worked at Papworth Hospital as a medical imaging researcher. He formed Cambridge Computed Imaging Limited in 2001 with Mike, where he was architect of Cadran and directed the certification of Medical Devices. In 2014, Dr Brown guided the company to ISO 13485 certification, enabling the manufacture of high quality Medical Device software products. Stephen is the systems architect and manages our Regulatory and Quality Management Systems.

Ian McLellan

Ian McLellan

Marketing Manager

Ian is responsible for Business Development strategies; including sales and marketing. With an academic background in Applied Physics, he has held a number of senior commercial roles within medical and life sciences companies, focusing on medical diagnostics. Latterly he was UK Marketing Manager for GE Healthcare, and then Business Development Director for NHS Blood and Transplant, responsible for the national contract of blood supply and diagnostics services for NHS Hospitals.
