After being selected as finalists, we’ve now been highly commended by Health Tech Newspaper (HTN) in their annual HTN Now Awards. We’ve received this commendation  for our rapid response to COVID-19.

The awards share and celebrate innovations across teams and health technology suppliers that have made a difference through the year. We were chosen as finalists for our flagship product Bleepa under two categories; Rapid Response to COVID and Excellence in Digital Pathways.

Rapid Response to COVID

Firstly, we were chosen as finalists for Rapid Response to COVID for our work improving medical communications through a crisis. Therefore, bridging the gap during the pandemic. This was because of our ongoing work with the Royal Oldham Hospital to enable clinicians, particularly those who were shielding, to work remotely. With access to clinical-grade images and messaging via Bleepa, clinicians were able to continue reviewing and referring patients. As a result, patients and staff were safer by reducing physical contact, without interrupting or delaying patient care.

Excellence in Digital Pathways

Secondly, we were selected for the category of Excellence in Digital Pathways. This was for improving digital pathways by introducing a more streamlined and efficient patient referral pathway. We did this working with the respiratory team at the Royal Oldham Hospital. In addition, we enhanced Bleepa’s features to identify and track confirmed or suspected COVD-19 patients.

The awards provide a platform to share innovations and solutions to shape future services and systems across health and care.
