Department for International Trade India Healthcare Virtual Mission

The India Healthcare Virtual Mission is the Department for International Trade’s (DIT) first virtual event for India. It builds on the success of trade delegations who have been visiting India in the last four years. And Bleepa has been selected!

The mission selects leading British healthcare innovators working in artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, smart diagnostics, and home-care technology. For both a COVID-19 and post-COVID world. The selection is led by the Chairman of NHS England, Lord David Prior.

“There are a number of potential opportunities for Bleepa within the large and growing Indian healthcare market. Such as with the newly announced National Digital Health Mission, which targets giving every Indian citizen a unique health ID and digitized health records.

Bleepa can support the hub and spoke hospital system in India. With a population of 1.38 billion people, access to centres of excellence in the four major cities is not possible for all, with both capacity and funding limiting access to top tier treatment. We believe that Bleepa can provide the vital digital link between these centres of excellence and regional or even mobile care units. Therefore, enabling millions more patients to receive the high standards of care targeted in the National Digital Health Mission.

We believe that Bleepa’s digital modular capabilities as a CE marked communications platform would make Bleepa an attractive option for the Indian market. We look forward to scoping the opportunities available with the support of Healthcare UK and DIT.” Dr Tom Oakley, CEO of Feedback

Innovation in healthcare delivery

Innovation in healthcare delivery is a key priority for healthcare providers in India. Especially as India’s healthcare market is projected to grow to USD 372bn by 2022. The event offers the chance to interact with key stakeholders and influencers from the Indian healthcare industry. This includes high-profile speakers from reputed organisations on key issues and opportunities in the industry. From both the UK and India. Companies joining the mission will receive dedicated support from the DIT network.
